Adam Dawoud jest tancerzem, choreografem i artystą eksperymentalnym pochodzącym z Palestyny. Odkrył taniec przez przypadek w małym pokoju w Gazie, nie wiedząc, że ta pasja wytyczy jego życiową ścieżkę. Bardzo szybko ruch stał się dla niego jedynym sposobem na wyrażanie siebie, ale i przetrwanie w opresyjnej codzienności. W tym poetyckim solo Dowoud śledzi swoją taneczną podróż od małego pokoju w Gazie do światowych scen.
Na prośbę artysty, środki zebrane ze sprzedaży biletów zostaną przekazane rodzinie Adama, która obecnie przebywa w Gazie.

We invite you to an event with Palestinian artist Adam Dawoud, during which we will see his performance 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙩. The performance will be followed by a discussion. The conversation will be led by Adrianna Michalska.
𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 is an autobiographical storytelling through words and movement by Adam Dawoud. It is a story about the power and hope that dance brings.
Adam Dawoud is a dancer, choreographer, and experimental artist from Palestine. He discovered dance by coincidence in a small room in Gaza, never knowing it would become his lifeline. Amid violence and repression, the movement became his only way to survive, heal, and find freedom. Years later, against all odds, a miracle happened that brought his story to the stages around the world. In this poetic solo, Adam shares his story through movement and narrative, tracing his journey from that small room in Gaza to the world stages. He has developed a unique style that embodies love, peace, and liberation, offering a powerful message of resilience, hope, and transformation.
At the artist’s request, the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Adam’s family, who are currently residing in Gaza.

Adam Dawoud – tancerz, choreograf i artysta eksperymentalny pochodzący z Palestyny. Jego przygoda z tańcem rozpoczęła się w małym pokoju w Gazie. Taniec stał się dla niego nie tylko ucieczką, ale także jedynym sposobem na przetrwanie w represjonowanej Gazie. Dawoud opracował unikalny styl tańca, który uosabia jego potrzebę niesienia pokoju i wsparcia dla mieszkańców Gazy. Od 2016 roku Adam brał udział w licznych projektach artystycznych w Egipcie, Jordanii i Libanie. Jego praca jako tancerza eksperymentalnego i artysty szybko zyskała uznanie, a on sam stał się znany z przekraczania granic tego, co możliwe w tańcu. Obecnie Adam mieszka w Amsterdamie, w Holandii, gdzie rozwija swoją artystyczną karierę. Jego droga jako tancerza w Gazie i późniejszy sukces jako artysty są świadectwem zaangażowania artysty w sztukę i w niesienie przesłania o pokoju i wolności.
Adrianna Michalska – tancerka, facylitatorka, performerka i niezależna artystka z Polski z doświadczeniem w CI, somatyce i różnych technikach improwizacji, które studiowała na całym świecie. Adrianna ukończyła University of Surrey (Wielka Brytania) na wydziale tańca i kultury. Jest również certyfikowanym nauczycielem DanceAbility. Obecnie ściśle współpracuje z Contact Improv India i InContact: organizacjami, które rozwijają scenę CI w Indiach, organizując rezydencje, warsztaty i performansy sztuk ruchu. Interesuje się wprowadzaniem praktyk artystycznych z różnych kultur do procesu twórczego. Bada również interdyscyplinarny potencjał pracy z tekstem, obrazem, dźwiękiem i ruchem.

Adam Dawoud is a dancer, choreographer, and experimental artist from Palestine. His dance journey began in a small room in Gaza.in his experience in life, he dealt with a lot of violence, injustice, wars, and repression, due to the environment he was raised in. Dance emerged as not just his escape but also as the sole means to survive and heal . He created his unique style of dance that embodied his message of love, peace, and freedom, becoming a beacon of hope and support for the people of Gaza during and after wars. Through his performances and projects, Adam provided much-needed psychological support and upliftment to the people of Gaza, while also spreading his message of positivity and hope. He has performed in over 700 performances and events, all kinds, throughout Gaza City. In 2016, Adam expanded his reach to Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon, where he performed in numerous festivals, events, and projects. His work as an experimental dancer and artist quickly gained recognition, and he became known for his ability to push the boundaries of what is possible in dance. Today, Adam resides in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where he continues to create impactful and inspiring performances that touch the hearts and minds of people. His journey as a dancer in Gaza and his subsequent success as an artist is a testament to his unwavering commitment to his craft and his message of love, peace, and freedom.
Adrianna Michalska – a dancer, facilitator, performer, and independent artist from Poland with experience in CI, somatics, and various improvisation techniques, which she studied around the world. Adrianna graduated from the University of Surrey (UK) with a degree in dance and culture. She is also a certified DanceAbility teacher. She currently works closely with Contact Improv India and InContact: organizations that develop the CI scene in India by organizing residencies, workshops, and movement art performances. She is interested in introducing artistic practices from different cultures into the creative process. She also explores the interdisciplinary potential of working with text, image, sound, and movement.
